Primary

For children in school year 2

Wednesdays 5-6pm at the Sea Cadets Hall, Stanwell Crescent, Penarth

Our Primary class is a continuation of our Dot class and gives children the opportunity to take their ISTD Primary dance exams in classical ballet, modern and tap. This builds on everything they have learnt so far and is a strong preparation for when children are ready to move up into our Junior classes.

There is also singing and speech work involved in this class.

Uniform can be found here in ‘China Blue’ or at A&A Dancewear, Park Crescent in Barry. Ballet shoes should be leather and full soled at this age, it is very important to have elastic sewed onto the shoes. Tap shoes should be white.

Little Acro – For students in Yr1 & Yr2 *CLASS FULL – Waiting List Available*

Thursdays 4.30-5.30pm at Penarth Methodist Church.

Acro is a style of dance that combines classical dance technique with precision acrobatic elements. It is defined by its athletic character, its unique choreography, which seamlessly blends dance and acrobatics, and its use of acrobatics in a dance context. Acro is not to be confused with gymnastics; both artistic and rhythmic which are sports that employ dance elements in a gymnastics context under the rules of a governing gymnastics organisation.
